I'm sure
a-lot of people have seen Ray's cars around the Warren, MI. area, but most
people have never seen them. So I thought a web page on them would be an
interesting idea. For everyone that has seen the finished results, I
thought you might like to see them from start to finish.
Ray
currently has two finished cars, a 1960 Chevy Wagon and a 1964 Chevy
ElCamino. You will see these here. He is also working on a couple of other
projects right now that I think you would enjoy seeing on this site as
they are being built. I want to update the site every few weeks telling
and showing you how they are progressing. I've run into a snag though. He
wants to keep the cars a secret and doesn't think anyone will be
interested. I'm hoping some positive e-mails would change this. If you are
interested in seeing them please send your thoughts to e-mail@raysradiator-hotrodshop.com.
Building these hot-rods is what got Ray started building aluminum
radiators and fuel cells in the first place. After he built his first car
and engine he needed something to keep it running cool. He is the proud
owner of a radiator shop and built a copper brass radiator for himself but
it just didn't look good enough to be in the car. He bought and installed
a few different aluminum radiators, he was happy with them but still
thought it could be better. At the time he was even considering selling
his competitors aluminum radiators to get into a new market. Then he
thought, hey, I'm going to build my own aluminum radiator the way I want
it to look. If Ray wouldn't have built his own hot- rod to his high
standards you would never have been able to buy his custom radiators
today.
